Research & development

Qualifying the materials and processes that programmes depend on.

Aerolloy's research and development, recognised by the DSIR, spans alloy qualification, process development, and sovereign capability.

What we do

Our R&D programme runs along three lines.

01

Materials qualification

We move alloys through qualification and into production. Titanium grades include Ti-6242, in qualification, and Ti-5553, in development, alongside nickel-based and cobalt-based superalloys.

02

Process development

Additive investment-casting patterns; directionally solidified and single-crystal casting; and recycled-scrap-to-ingot melting through electron beam cold hearth refining, which avoids up to 27 tonnes of CO₂ per tonne of titanium against primary production.

03

Sovereign capability

Producing in India materials and components previously available only through import, working with international academic and research institutions.

Towards Parity

A material that doesn't exist yet?

Bring us the requirement. Our R&D and our teams will assess feasibility.
